Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH20794)MA, PhD
ABOUT
Located in Winter Park, Florida, Storyology is a private practice offering counseling services to adolescents and adults ages 12+. I specialize in working with sexual trauma, dissociative disorders, life transition, and LGBTQIA+ experiences using narrative and geek therapy.
In addition to the interests above, I am educated in assessing for gender dysphoria and offer letters for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). You will never be charged extra for an HRT letter. It is part of the services offered when working with gender dysphoria if HRT is a desired outcome.
I am an LGBTQIA+, gender affirming and kink friendly therapist. I use a multi-faceted approach in my counseling style but primarily use Narrative and Geek Therapy, with a certification in Hypnotherapy.
A typical session is 50-minutes in length and can be provided weekly or biweekly depending on your schedule.
I offer both in-person and online sessions. If seeking Telehealth, you must be located in the state of Florida at the time of service.

SERVICES
Geek Therapy
We all are interested in something. Whether it’s movies, gaming, comic books, music, anime, or something else, your interests are a part of your life. Geek Therapy is a model of therapeutic intervention using the psychology of geek culture for the purpose of improving and understanding ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Gender Identity/HRT
I see you. Questioning, coming to terms, or wanting to start the process to live authentically, I’m here to help. It does not matter if you are just starting, are seeking answers, or have already begun or concluded your transition. Your path is your path, and together we will uncover your true self. Gender, like sexuality or relationships, is on a spectrum. I am not here to judge where you are on that spectrum, but I am here to help you find meaning and answers along the way. This can be a scary process, but my goal is not to be your gatekeeper. My goal is to help you find a path forward. Wherever you are on your path, I see you as your authentic self, and you are amazing.
Family Counseling
Family is your first point of contact in understanding the world around you. The stories you tell, and believe, about yourself, begins with your family system. My goal as an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor is to work with families in transition around sexual and gender identity. Many in the LGBTQIA+ community experience the family system in different ways than that of their cisgender heterosexual counterparts. Family counseling is way to bring balance back into the system in which your story began.
TTRPG Game Master
Did you know tabletop role playing games can be used in therapy? They can! Break out the character sheets! Roll your D20! Let’s go on an adventure. As a certified game master from Geek Therapeutics I offer sessions for groups up to 6 players. Games such as TTRPG’s can be a great resource for skill building, decision making, identity development, socializing, and more. More information coming soon!
Individual Counseling
Counseling is not one size fits all. You are a unique individual with a unique story. You are the main character, surrounded by real feelings, thoughts, and relationships, which may sometimes make it difficult to feel like the hero. But you are the hero, and I would like to join you on your quest as a guide, a dedicated listener, a player 2 devoted to helping you find a path to rewrite your story.
Life Coaching
Life has its challenges. Life coaching is not counseling or therapy but can help navigate the next phase in your life. Life coaching can help you identify areas where you may be struggling and teach you skills to overcome them. Download the form and schedule an appointment here.

Gender Affirming Therapy
(surgery and hormone)
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Gatekeeping sucks! Yeah, I said it.
I believe in the informed consent model. This means I believe you understand who you are, and my role is not to act as a gatekeeper to your goals. I’m here to provide information so you can make the best, most informed decision possible.
There are many barriers that fall under the gatekeeping system, but the most common appears to be financial. The financial barrier to care is a far too common form of gatekeeping and I will not pass that burden onto you.
I do not charge for writing letters or completing an assessment. If a letter is part of your counseling process with me, the letter will not cost extra on top of a session. Space is limited per month for gender affirming letters.
Did you know, a letter is not always required depending on the provider?
Planned Parenthood offers an informed consent model for those 18+ and requires parental consent for those 17 years of age and younger. Additional information may be required and guidelines may change. Please contact your local Planned Parenthood for additional information.
Please note, I am NOT a physician and can only provide a certain amount of information. I do work from the WPATH SOC 7. For any medical questions please consult a doctor.
Learn About My Process
Therapy is NOT a requirement to obtain a letter for HRT. It is normal to have questions, doubts, and anxieties about taking the next step in the transition process. Finding a provider that understands you is important. If you are interested in therapy, you can schedule an appointment with me, and I will be happy to meet.
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, which means I have a provisional license and work under the supervision of a qualified supervisor. As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, I have my qualified supervisor co-sign my letters to ensure they meet provider requirements. Because of this, letters can take up to a week to get back depending on when we meet for the assessment.
In order to provide a letter for gender affirming care an assessment will be completed to ensure you meet the criteria outlined in the WPATH SOC 7, but this does not mean therapeutic intervention needs to take place.
There is no minimum number of sessions required to obtain a letter. I don’t believe in gatekeeping, but because everyone is unique, the number of sessions won’t be determined until we meet. The number of sessions is typically between 1-4.
My goal with assessments is not for you to prove your gender to me. Medical transition is not a requirement to be valid in your identity, but medical transition may be something you desire. My role is to offer a space to provide information and to make sure you understand the process.
